Course Title

Adult-Child Interaction: Play and Mediation of Learning

Course Description

The course explores play as enculturation and the adult's role in mediating learning through play. The changing role of play in the transition from infancy to representational thinking is investigated. Includes the relationship between play formats and the acquisition of skills, concepts and information. Student must meet the prerequisite (EC 540).
