Electrcl & Comptr EngineeringSchool of Egr. and Comp. Sci.
Course Title
Design of AC Machines
Course Description
This course covers the most important concepts of the design of AC electric machines. Step-by-step procedures to electromagnetically design AC electric machines e.g., induction machines and Permanent Magnet (PM) machines, is covered in this course by examining magnetic circuits, field distributions in electric machines and losses in electric machines. Cross-listed with ECE 4600. Students can only receive credit for either ECE 4600 or ECE 5600. Prerequisite(s): ECE 3600 or ECE 5605 or prior experience Electrical Machines at the undergraduate level.
