Computer Hardware Design

Course Description

Development of components and techniques needed to design digital circuits and systems for controllers, computers, communication, and related applications. Unsigned/signed integer and real arithmetic operations. Design and timing simulation of special-purpose processors in VHDL and their FPGA implementation. Microprocessor design. With laboratory. Cross-listed with ECE 4710. Credit can only be received for either ECE 4710 or ECE 5710.
