Advanced Exercise Physiology

Course Description

This course emphasizes the incorporation of recent advances in biological research with the study of exercise. Topics include: morphological, biochemical and physiological responses to both acute and chronic exercise; mechanisms in metabolic control; hormonal, renal and digestive factors in exercise; and the relationships between exercise and cardiovascular disease. Offered fall semester. Formerly EXS 520.Prerequisites: BIO 3232 or CHM 2010 and EXS 3010 or have permission of instructor.
