Health-Promoting Lifestyle Choices and Interventions

Course Description

Emphasizes physical aspects of health-promoting behaviors, and philosophies of primary and secondary prevention, health education and health interventions. Includes modules on health beliefs, theoretical models of health and disease behaviors, principles of behavior modification and relapse prevention, predictors and measures of intervention success, and strategies for improving adherence. Formerly EXS 535. Offered winter semester. Prerequisite: Student must have permission of instructor.
