Automotive Chassis Systems

Course Description

Vehicle chassis systems analyses including: power plant and transmission characteristics, maximum traction effort, engine and transmission matching; suspension kinematics, dynamics, and optimization; and tire dynamics, tire forces and moments, rolling resistance and longitudinal slip, ride properties, and characteristics on wet surfaces. Formerly ME 584.
