Sheet Metal Forming Processes

Course Description

Sheet metal formability, shearing, bending, flanging, hemming, drawing, hydroforming, hot forming, stamping dies and presses. Emphasis is made on analytical models and understanding the results of numerical simulation of stamping using commercial software, sheet metal fracture, wrinkling, spring back, recent development of stamping of lightweight materials. Offered Winter.
