Course Description
Foundations in vector and tensor fields, kinematics of deformation, measures of strain and analysis of stress, equations of motion, compatibility conditions, constitutive equations, thermodynamics of deformation. Study of infinitesimal elasticity, ideal fluids, ideal elastoplasticity, processing, and material capabilities are studied in a systems context. Offered winter, odd years.
