Network and Security Management

This course provides a general overview of communications network design. Relevant data communication hardware and software characteristics are examined. Students are introduced to network models, and design of local area networks and wide area network along with intranet and extranet. The impact of communications technology on organizations as well as trends in the telecommunications industry are explored. Prerequisite(s): MIS 5630 or its equivalent.
