Course Title

Mathematical Modeling in Industry: Operations Research Models

Course Description

Models will be drawn from linear, integer, nonlinear and dynamic programming, stochastic processes, queuing theory, Markov chains, decision analysis, network theory and scheduling theory. Topics will vary but particular applications may include production planning and inventory control, capacity expansion, equipment replacement, optimal routing, project management, flow-shop and job-shop scheduling, Markov decision models, game theory and control theory. Formerly MOR 558. Prerequisite: MOR 5554 or instructor permission.
