Advanced Concepts in Perioperative Cardiac Care
Course Description
This course provides an in-depth understanding of cardiovascular assessment and management, focusing on the interpretation of 12-lead EKGs and the application of cardiac pathophysiology in the perioperative setting. Students will develop the ability to accurately assess cardiac rhythm, identify abnormalities, and utilize this information to guide clinical decision-making in patients with cardiac conditions. The course will also emphasize developing and implementing effective perioperative management plans for patients with cardiovascular diseases, integrating knowledge of pathophysiology to optimize patient outcomes. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to address the complex needs of cardiac patients in the perioperative period.
