Course Description
Creativity and innovation have become catch phrases in modern management. This course explores a number of issues: What is creativity? Is creativity different from innovation? Do organizations actually support creativity? Who gets to be creative in an organization? What role does failure play in successful creative effort? Do other popular organizational processes such as continuous improvement work at cross-purposes to creativity? The objective of this course is to examine creativity in a variety of contexts as well as provide the participant with insights on their own creativity. Formerly ORG 672. Prerequisite: ORG 5300 or have completed a course in organizational behavior.
