Classical Electrodynamics
Course Description
Review of electrostatics, magnetostatics, Maxwell's equations and electromagnetic waves. Relativistic description of particles, fields and interactions. Radiation by moving charges, bremsstrahlung, radiation damping, self fields. Formerly PHY 583. Recommended prerequisites: PHY 3720 or PHY 4720 or PHY 5520.
