Foundations of Evidence-Informed Clinical Practice

This course will provide students with a foundational knowledge of research principles and the research process in preparation for evidence-informed clinical practice, and physical therapy clinical research. In preparation for clinical practice and research, the process of searching, retrieving and critically appraising research articles will be addressed.  Additionally, students will be exposed to and apply knowledge related to the research proposal; statistical tests and interpretation; the IRB application; and the grant application process. Must be admitted to DPT program.
